Lens Impression
ハインリッヒ・エルネマン(1850-1928)は、1880年頃ドレスデンですでにカメラ販売を始めていましたが、1889年に正式に会社組織としての事業を始めました。
彼は後の「エルネマン社」の創業者であり、かのベルテレを育てた人物でもあります。エルネマン社はその後1926年のツァイスイコン設立の母体となった企業であり、ドレスデンの本社ビル「エルネマンタワー」は、ツァイスイコンの本社ビル、ペンタコンの本社ビルとして長く使用され、現在も残っています。
ハインリッヒは会社設立数年後、1902年に17.5mmフォーマットの撮影・映写兼用である「ＫＩＮＯ」を発売、1904年には「ＫＩＮＯ2」に発展しましたが、その「ＫＩＮＯ2」に装着されていたのが、この「Kinostigmat
5cm f2」です。
その姿は、非常にコンパクトで、真鍮にブラックペイントの枯れた味わいが、なんともいえないレンズです。
描写は典型的なペッツバール型のもので、周辺画像は大きく乱れます。その味わいは、非点収差のぐるぐるでも、コマ収差のものでもなく、まさに「像面の湾曲」。
被写体によって得意不得意がはっきりしていますが、つぼにはまれば、他にはない楽しい画像が得られます。
Heinrich Ernemann(1850-1925) started his carrier of Camera sales in 1880
at Dresden, and founded the company in 1889.
He was the founder of 'Ernemann Werke' and the person who hired Ludwig
Bertele later. Ernamann was the core company of the famous merger to establish
the Zeiss Ikon. The Head Office building 'Ernemann Tower' has been taken
over to Zeiss Ikon and Pentacon later and remains still now.
Heinrich stated sales of 17.5mm format 'KINO' movie and projection camera in 1902 , then 'KINO2' in 1904. This Kinostigmat is the lens equpped in KINO2.
The design of this lens is very compact and the taste of black paint on brass is fantastic well-seasoned feeling.
The description of this lens is typical Petzval with large disorder in peripheral area which definitely different from astigmatism or coma aberration but the curvature of the field itself.
You have to choose carefully the taking object , but it gives you fantastic
expression when suited.
